THE largest foreign chamber in the country, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), kicked off its first-in-a-series Networking Socials last week in Makati City.
The event series aims to introduce new affiliates to longtime members of ECCP, as well as provide an exciting venue for businessmen to discover and develop business opportunities.
European expats had a grand time mingling with other members of the chamber, in what seemed to be a fun midweek break from work.
More than 150 participants from various sectors came for happy hour, good food and the chance to build rapport in the business scene.
Enjoying hors d’oeuvres to casual drinks provided by Bacardi Martini Philippines Inc. and Finca Rio Negro wines from Gurrka, the attendees were seen grooving the night away to the 1980s beats of DJ Abdel Azziz.
Executive Director Florian Gottein launched the new ECCP audiovisual presentation, which featured First Envirotech Alliance Corp. President Ditmar Gorges, as he also welcomed both new and existing ECCP member companies.
The Networking Socials was an avenue to build relationships among ECCP members of 2017 who attended, namely, the Harvey Law Group, CP Treasures of the Orient, Dmark Multisales Corp. and Grand Hyatt, among others.
Top-level executives from Bosch, JLL, Mighty, Metro Pacific and Bureau Veritas also joined the get-together.
“Doing business doesn’t always have to be dull and formal. We came up with the Networking Socials because, as the leading and largest foreign chamber in the Philippines, we like to provide our members and partners with opportunities for them to create, collaborate and embrace a community that promotes inclusive growth,” ECCP Membership Officer Dei Cimatu said.
Here’s to more ECCP Networking Socials. Cheers!
