Central bank, economic zone execs headline Times business forum

The Manila Times holds its 8th Business Forum today at Manila Ballroom A of the Marriott Hotel Manila in Pasay City, with key government decision-makers expected to discuss policies promoting investments and accelerating economic growth.

The forum’s theme, “Philippine Investments: Ride the Growth Curve,” will focus on the possibilities of investing in the Philippines, amid economic growth exceeding 6.5 percent for the past 10 quarters.

Speakers include Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Deputy Governor Diwa Guinigundo (“Breaking the Boom-Bust Cycle”), Board of Investments Executive Director Ma. Corazon Halili-Dichosa (“PH Manufacturing: The
Resurgence”), Philippine Economic Zone Authority manager of economic development Emmanuel Cortero (“Economic Zone Development in the Countryside”), Philippine Stock Exchange President Ramon Monson (“Investing in Stock Market”), and PricewaterhouseCoopers Philippines deals and corporate finance managing partner Mary Jade Roxas-Divinagracia (“Deal or No Deal: What Investors Look For”).

Also speaking at the forum are European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines Women in Business Chairperson Sheila Lobien (“The Philippine Real Estate Industry: Interesting Times Ahead”) and Times business columnist and former Asian Development Bank and World Bank staff Robert Siy (“Investing in Inclusive and Sustainable Mobility”).

The program starts at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m.
