Position: Business Consultancy & Research Officer
Reporting to: Director of Operations
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle all business-related requests and inquiries from both member and non-member companies looking to explore or expand business operations, introduce innovative product solutions, facilitate business meetings, and access other requested services.
- Lead the project management for the annual Doing Business in the Philippines Guidebook.
- Oversee business research activities, including compiling client, distributor, and supplier contact lists, conducting comprehensive searches, developing company pools, performing market scans, executing company background checks, providing business facilitation services, offering technology briefings, and assisting with collections.
- Lead the planning and execution of business consultancy-related events, such as industry forums, business missions, investment roundtables, business networking sessions, and market briefing events.
- Research and provide economic indicators for the monthly Factsheet and the annual Philippine Europe Business Directory.
- Develop industry studies as requested by clients.
- Formulate strategies for the Business Consultancy and Research Department of ECCP to enhance the quality and volume of services offered and inquiries handled.
- Attend and participate in ECCP Advocacy Committee meetings and networking activities.
- Establish linkages with national and local government agencies, business and professional organizations, foreign chambers, international development organizations, and academic institutions to address potential business concerns.
- Supervise interns to ensure the efficient execution of consultancy and research projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the ECCP Executive Director to support the Chamber’s objectives, as needed.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Economics, Business, Public Policy, or related fields.
- 2-3 years in consultancy, market research, trade promotion, or policy advisory.
- Experience in chambers of commerce, trade organizations, or government is a plus.
- Experience with European companies, trade missions, or investment facilitation in the Philippines.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in business intelligence, trade analysis, and investment facilitation.
- Knowledge of EU-Philippines trade, market access, and economic policies.
- Strong report writing, data analysis, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with trade agreements, government policies, and investment incentives.
- Proficient in MS Office, data visualization, and business intelligence tools.
Soft Skills:
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent stakeholder management, engaging CEOs, officials, and industry leaders.
- Experience in organizing trade dialogues, business roundtables, and networking events.
- Strong project management, leading research and industry initiatives.
- Professional, adaptable, and thrives in multi-stakeholder environments.
