Schneider Electric (SE), the global specialist in energy management, recently conducted a presentation entitled "Modeling Your Data Center for Greater Efficiency" during the Technology Roadmap Seminar held in Pampanga. The presentation sought to increase awareness on improving the efficiency of a data center, including the management of computers, telecommunications, storage systems and other IT equipments, while reducing electricity consumption and operational costs.

Growing electricity usage costs has been a bane to companies utilizing data centers as it significantly contributes to the overall operational costs. For this reason, Schneider Electric came up with ways on how to reduce the electrical consumption of typical data centers through appropriate design of the network-critical physical infrastructure and the design of the IT architecture, both of which were shared during the discussion.

The Technology Roadmap Seminar is a venue for organizations to learn the latest technological trends and innovations to keep pace with increasing customer demands and develop better business strategies. This seminar is organized through the efforts of MSI-ECS, official distributor of APC by Schneider Electric’s products here in the Philippines.
