More than 5,000 officials and employees from the Philippine business community and leading government agencies are set to participate in a running event against corruption on May 29 at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
Dubbed "I Run For Integrity Towards A New Philippines," the symbolic run features 3k, 5k, 10k, and 15k, with participants wearing the colors of the Philippine flag in their singlet.
The event is organized by the Integrity coalition composed of the Makati Business Club, Management Association of the Philippines, Coalition Against Corruption, Asian Institute of Management, American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, and European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines.
The run is also being supported strongly by the agrarian reform, budget and management, defenese, justice, transportation and communication departments of the government.
Others from the government that have signed their support are the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Bureau of Customes, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Civil Service Commission, Philippine Economic Zone Authority, Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Supreme Court.
