
Art of Public Speaking: A Practical Approach for New and Emerging Leaders
The 2-day module and facilitation of the course is designed to:
1. Illustrate the need to employ the basic principles of verbal communications within today's fast-paced business and social environments by providing the fundamentals on how to adapt public speaking within the context of customer service and internal communications.
2. Generate confidence among its participants for their leadership roles and in life in general by: recognizing their inner or latent capabilities; their potentials, and, understanding the nuances of communications in relationship and leadership development.
3. Encourage continual improvement in verbal communications for professional development.
4. EXTENDED SCOPE: The above-stated objectives and design of the course are also applicable for existing leaders for an improvement or updating of their skills and competencies in communications.
Course Content
• Overview of the importance of effective communications in business and personal development; for this course, a focus on public speaking that complements relationship management within and outside the workplace.
• Lectures and presentations with a pre-course assignment to be delivered on the first day of the course and a culminating activity at the end of the course.
