ECCP Luncheon Meeting with NDA
In the latter half of 2025, Republic Act No. 12308, otherwise known as the Animal Industry Development and Competitiveness Act, was enacted into law—marking a significant shift in the regulatory landscape of the Philippine dairy sector. One of its key provisions is the transfer of regulatory authority over all dairy products from the Food and Drug Administration Philippines (FDA) to the National Dairy Authority (NDA). This transition covers the full spectrum of regulatory processes, including product applications, licensing, inspections, and approvals.
While this development is expected to streamline and strengthen the country's dairy industry, it also presents a period of adjustment for businesses navigating new procedures, requirements, and institutional frameworks.
Against this backdrop, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), through its Food and Beverage Committee, is convening a Luncheon Meeting with NDA Administrator and CEO, Atty. Marcus T. Andaya. This session aims to provide a platform for dialogue between the public and private sectors, offering clarity on the transition process, regulatory expectations, and implementation timelines.
The discussion will also serve as an opportunity for industry stakeholders to raise key concerns, share insights, and explore ways to ensure a smooth and efficient transition. Ultimately, the event seeks to support businesses in maintaining compliance, minimizing disruptions, and aligning with the evolving regulatory environment for dairy products in the Philippines.
